InterestingProjects was founded in 2019 by James Mason and Joana Filipe. We are an interior and exhibition design practice with experience in both the commercial and cultural sectors.
James Mason (FR/UK) has a BA in Interior Design and Environmental Architecture. He has worked at Brinkworth, Universal and Fitch. Since founding InterestingProjects, he has led retail projects and is responsible for designing over 70 stores for high-end retail throughout Europe, UAE, the Americas and Southeast Asia.
Joana Filipe (PT) has an MA in Fine Art Sculpture and worked at the Victoria and Albert Museum. She was the director of a sculpture studio and has extensive materials and fabrication knowledge. She leads the exhibition design side of the business.
Our team of architects, designers and visualisers is spread between the UK, Portugal, Slovakia and New Zealand. We work collaboratively to bring a truly unique and diverse approach to every project.
